Seahawk Team Meetup – Delhi and Mumbai 2024

Seahawk team-meet 2024

With remote settings at Seahawk, team meetings have always been a great opportunity to interact with the team and align the company’s operations. It’s always great to catch up with colleagues and have a fun, productive get-together to discuss work and life.

With this in mind, Seahawk’s founder and CEO, Ryan James, traveled to Delhi and Mumbai, India, for a month-long trip in March 2024 to interact with the Seahawk team in these cities.

As Ryan spends a significant amount of time with the team and gets a close view of India operations, he also made sure to make this trip an important opportunity to get to know the team better and plan some awesome team outings, lunches, and dinners.

Ryan started his journey from Istanbul, Turkey, for the WP Beginner Growth Fund Meetup. After this successful meetup, Ryan flew down to New Delhi with Damanjeet, CEO of FunnelKit.

In Ryan’s words, India always amazes him with its friendly and comforting vibe.

For a comfortable and productive setup, Ryan had planned weeklong team meetups in Connaught Place, where the Delhi team worked from a beautiful coworking space called Innov8.  The space was convenient and centrally located for daily team meetups.

The meetings were mainly focused on Customer Success, Web Operations, Marketing, and Dev Operations. Ryan carefully arranged meetings with each team to discuss all the necessary line items to finalize.

But wait, there was more to this trip than work meetings! From amazing team lunches and dinners at places like Dhaba – Estd 1986 and United Coffee House to enjoying and bonding with fun conversations on Ryan’s unique encounter at the Dhobi Ghat, it was indeed a great time spent together as a team.

The best part: Ryan was fascinated by his visit to Bangla Sahib Gurudwara, where he wore a white Turban tied by our Head of Ops, Amandeep, and the team.

After spending some great time with the Delhi team, Ryan flew from New Delhi to Bombay/Mumbai, where he stayed at Novotel Juhu Beach and was impressed by their lovely staff and hospitality.

Our head of HR, Shubhrata, and her husband welcomed Ryan and showed him around Mumbai, such as the Gateway of India and Colaba.

To make the most of the weekend in Mumbai, Ryan and Shubhrata attended Ed Sheeran’s concert, where Diljit Dosanjh and Arman Malik made surprise appearances.

Ryan had a blast at the concert and spent a lovely weekend in the “city of dreams” before getting set for another productive week with the Mumbai team.

Jumping on to the productive part of the Mumbai meetup, we had our VP of WP and Managing Director Ankur Gandhi fly in from Ahmedabad, Head of Sales Saurabh from Bangalore, Project Manager Prabhat, and Head of Dev Ops Abhay from Pune join Ryan for a team meetup in Mumbai. Organized by our Head of HR Shubhrata, other teammates around the city also arrived for a three-day meetup at Novotel Juhu Beach Premier Lounge.

Mumbai meetup, like Delhi, was balanced between productive meetups and lovely get-togethers with amazing team meals. The team visited some beautiful places like Razzberry Rhinoceros and Bora Bora. Ryan also visits Marine drives with the team on a short road trip.

After meeting the team in Delhi and Bombay, Ryan flew from Bombay to Delhi to stay in Gurgaon and celebrate the festival of colors, Holi, with our co-founder Gautam’s family and Damanjeet, CEO of FunnelKit. Ryan spent his week in Gurgaon, meeting some more teammates and close friends.

As the month-long trip ends, Ryan makes a final visit to Mumbai to attend final meetings with the head of HR and the Head of Dev Ops to finalize some remaining line items from the previous meeting in Mumbai. Before the final goodbyes, Ryan goes to Diljit Dosanjh and Chainsmokers concert with Head of HR Shubhrata to round off his trip before heading back to Miami. They went to Bastian and The Nines for team meals. He also attended a Mumbai Indians cricket match.

With this, Ryan concluded his month-long journey in India, where he met and got to know the team and finalized significant processes for Seahawk operations.

As they say, some goodbyes are never easy. Ryan makes his way back to Miami, promising to revisit India, continue the Seahawk culture of the amazing team meet-ups, and make memories to remember.
