Changing a brand is a considerable risk and is not something that everyone can pull off easily. There’s a lot at stake, and when done inappropriately, it can have significant consequences. However, it’s a decisive move that can reposition your brand in new and existing markets. With the right moves and proper alignment of brand vision, they can be more vital than ever and earn enormous trust.
Timcast, our latest project, is an American podcast and network platform that brings together news, entertainment, and commentary on political and cultural issues. Timothy Daniel Pool, an American journalist, YouTuber, and political commentator, owns this platform.
He got his first recognition for live streaming at the Occupy Wall Street protests in 2011. Timothy soon began working with Vice Media and Fusion TV in 2013 and 2014, respectively. Later, he began working independently on YouTube and other platforms to raise awareness about social issues and a range of hidden political, cultural, and entertainment topics.
Using simple technology, he broadcasts to over 3.2 million people for a single event, with syndication estimates exceeding 200 million and an average of 500,000 viewers per live event. Tim Pool is currently at the forefront of new media and journalism, continually pushing the boundaries of what is possible.
His unique style of interactive broadcast journalism exists at the intersection of social and mainstream media. His live coverage has been featured by renowned channels such as NBC, Reuters, MSNBC, and Al Jazeera English, with reports from major events worldwide.
The Challenge
Timcast needed a digital platform that could do more than publish news. It had to build trust, spark interaction, and encourage readers to engage actively with politics and culture.
Tim’s vision was to create a space where his audience felt personally connected to the content and motivated to become part of the conversations shaping the world. Achieving this required a website that strongly reflected his personality, values, and bold editorial voice.
The challenge also involved translating this vision into a scalable and functional platform. The website had to support multiple daily podcasts, integrate video content seamlessly, highlight merchandise, offer flexible membership plans, and encourage community support through donations.
All of this needed to be delivered through a modern, visually striking interface that could handle high traffic while remaining intuitive and engaging for users.
Our Approach
We began by designing the entire website in Figma, crafting custom layouts for the homepage and all subpages before converting them into WordPress templates using the Gutenberg builder.
The visual identity was built around bold black tones with accents of blue, paired with white typography to capture attention and reinforce clarity. Bebas Neue Regular was selected to maintain a clean yet powerful aesthetic aligned with Tim’s brand.
The website was structured around Timcast IRL, Timcast News, and the Daily Vlog, with full podcast integration and interactive YouTube viewing directly on the site. We implemented a custom membership system with tiered access, added a merchandise sidebar, and ensured strong visual contrast to maintain focus on the news content.
Additional features included an About page, a Contact page, featured posts, social media integration, and a donation panel to support Tim’s work.
Through close collaboration with the Timcast creative team, we transformed the platform into a modern, customized WordPress experience that champions ideas, fosters engagement, and supports millions of global readers.
