We’ve just wrapped an unforgettable time at WordCamp Europe 2025 in the stunning city of Basel, Switzerland, and it’s safe to say it was more than just another event. It was a celebration of everything we believe in at Seahawk: community, innovation, and collaboration.
Our CEO and founder, Ryan James, joined by our COO and cofounder, Gautam Khorana, represented Seahawk Media at the heart of the action. This trip was more than just an appearance. It was about reconnecting with old friends, forging new partnerships, and fueling our shared mission to shape the future of WordPress.
One of the true highlights was finally meeting the legendary Cory Miller in person, an icon in the open-source space. And of course, it’s always a pleasure as they met good friends like Ben Rojas and Arnaud Broes from All in One SEO (AIOSEO).
While they didn’t capture too many photos, the memories are vivid. The few snapshots only scratch the surface of what was truly a high-energy, deeply inspiring experience.

What really stood out this year was the genuine camaraderie and brainpower in every hallway conversation. As the connected with some of the brightest minds and visionaries pushing WordPress forward including Raitis Sevelis, Edgars V., Rahul Bansal, Vivek Jain, Aviral Mittal, Akshat Choudhary, Aurelio Volle, Boris Z., Gaurav Nakul, Vito Peleg, Ross Spadaro, Patrick Duke-Rosati, Willem Jan R., Vikas Singhal, Sheldon M., Bogdan Radusinovic, Ankur Chotai, Stéphane Menet, Thomas Koschwitz, Robert Abela, and so many more.
There’s truly nothing more powerful than seeing open-source builders come together with a unified purpose to build a better web, one line of code at a time.

Let’s not forget they were in Switzerland, so naturally, fondue happened and it was every bit as good as you’d expect.
