Seahawk CEO Ryan James Takes Month Long Trip To New Delhi, India

The founder and CEO of Seahawk Media, Ryan James came on a month-long visit to the India office in February 2020 to interact with the group leadership team and employees. This second visit marked a series of interesting experiences for Ryan as he spent a significant amount of time with the team and get an insider view of India operations while meeting some of the top clients and partners.

During the visit he had a productive and insightful meeting with Avi Arya, one of Seahawk India’s proud partners and business ally, exchanging great ideas on the subject of digital marketing and crafting social media strategies. Being a top of the line social media influencer, Avi Arya is also a keynote speaker and the founder of Internet Moguls, one of India’s premier digital marketing organizations.

Internally, Ryan spent time brainstorming with the team and introduced many interesting new processes and SOPs in Seahawk to help streamline department operations with respect to web, social, design and SEO and content. This was done to enable all departments work in tandem with one another and manage the tasks systematically. The new SOPs were integrated with Monday.com, Seahawk’s internal project management tool.

Once the departmental SOPs were set up, department heads were appointed based on their experience and domain knowledge. The final names of HODs announced were Ajendra Thakur (SEO), Vasundhara Gupta (Web), Isha Chopra (Content) and Akshay Kumar (Design). Along with the HODs, there were several new appointments at Seahawk across all departments who joined in the new year to increase Seahawk’s operational strength.

Ryan also had a productive meet with Seahawk partner GoDaddy’s team and got a special surprise from a senior team member and friend Gaurav Nakul. As Ryan is a big fan of the cricket and former Indian cricket team captain – Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Gaurav presented him with Dhoni’s autographed bat. He wanted to organize a cricket tournament for Seahawk team but due to paucity of team, the plan couldn’t materialize.

During his stay, Ryan also went ahead and touched base with some of Seahawk’s prominent and VIP clients such as iHop, Ahujasons, HI Tours, and Café StayWoke among others. He met with the clients like Karan Ahuja (Ahujasons) and Prem Syal (HI Tours) to discuss the progress of their brands and strategize on new initiatives that would lead them to further success. Ryan also conducted a meeting with Seahawk’s finance head Shekhar Joshi to discuss the company’s finances and growth strategies and how to expand Seahawk operations across India and abroad and the road to the future. While the majority of time was spent on work and meetings, Ryan James and the leadership team of Gautam Khorana and Tanvi Khorana had a blast celebrating Holi at their residence and headed towards the tropical Indian paradise of Goa to unwind and relax a bit for a few days.
